Magilatech was founded in 2011 and fully incorporated in 2012, with a clear mission: transform software development and cybersecurity across Africa. Since then we have grown from a startup incubatee into a high growth technology company trusted by enterprises and governments on three continents.
Our global strategy headquarters and R&D centre are in Dubai, UAE, home to our innovation hub, scalable solution frameworks, and cybersecurity labs. We maintain a strong local presence in Tanzania and recently launched operations in DRC Congo, with more regions on the horizon.

Godfrey Magila is an award-winning, self-taught programmer and entrepreneur who turned a $200 hackathon prize into Magilatech, a 150+ person, ISO 27001-certified technology group serving Africa and the Middle East. With operations in Dubai, Tanzania and the DRC, and its global headquarters in Dubai, Magilatech designs, builds and secures mission-critical platforms across fintech, telecommunications, aviation and e-governance, powering systems that serve tens of millions of people.
Among the major platforms he has built are LGRCIS, the first local government revenue collection system, and Tigo Backup, the first secure phone data backup and mobile anti-theft platform, which he built and sold to Tigo. With a clear vision of linking two of the world's fastest-growing digital regions, he has led Magilatech's expansion from East Africa into the Middle East. Today the company is a trusted technology partner to governments, banks, telecom operators and airports in both regions. His work has been recognised by Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 and the AABLA Innovator of the Year award.
